Janie Wallace
Hello All,
I live in Kosciusko and have been waiting to see Dr. Cleveland for my Pre op
4 Hour app date and then to a surgery date. I'm so anxious. My birthday is a week away and I was hoping to have it before then but not likely. The last time I talked to them (last week) they said Adam was negoitateing my insurance. Any way I'm 52 and need to lose 130 to 150 lbs. I've done all my other stuff on the list just waiting.

Hello Janie, my family is from the Kosciusko/Sallis/Goodman area (grandparents, parents, etc), so I have visited there A LOT, lived there when I was little and briefly about 3 years ago. Not a bad drive for you to go to CMMC...Welcome to the board, and feel free to ask any questions you have, and please update us on what's going on in your journey.

Hi Janie,
The waiting game is the worst, isn't it? Hopefully they'll get it all worked out and you'll be having your surgery in no time.
I noticed that you're 52....I'm 54. As probably everybody does, I've read hundreds of OH members stories and looked at their pictures. One thing I've noticed is that those of us over 50 seem to be in the minority. When I first started considering having the surgery, I started thinking maybe I was too old to fool with it. Then I decided, heck no!! I still have a lot of living left to do and I might as well try to become the healthiest and fittest person I could.
Good luck to you, Janie!

Good luck to you. It is a long path to travel to have WLS, but well worthwhile. I am a year out, have lost 95 pounds and just made it into a size 12. I feel great most of the time, although I still have a problem with eyes that are bigger than my stomach! You will be glad that you made this choice, it will change your life in so many different ways!
