Ken Grantham

Okay this is really bothering me and I just have to post. I don't know if anyone knows him or not, but I just heard from a friend of his that he died from complications from gastric bypass surgery. His obituary is in the Clarion Ledger today. I'm really sad and depressed about this even though I didn't know the guy. Karine

It is so sad but we all know/knew the risks when we signed on. Being in the 'hope to have my surgery in the next two weeks' phase, it really scares me but I must soldier on. You may not have known Ken but you 'knew' him. He was as we are. He chose WLS as a way to try and save his life. God love his wife and family. I know what they are going through. I agree with soldiering on, but each time I read something like this it's a swift kick of reality. I think some of us, including me, get so wrapped up in the benefits and excitement, that we put the risks on the back burner. So the reality is definitely sobering. I am sorry to hear that. Did he die during surgery or after Where did he have his surgergy at and who was his doctor?
