Mississippi bandsters??

Are there any folks from Mississippi (especially in the Jackson MS) area that have had the lap-band surgery? If so, I'd love to hear from you... Thanks!

Hi..my name is Regina I was banded in Mexico on 6/19/06....and an down 48 lbs..I'm about 4 hrs from Jackson..Just wanted to say hi..

Most of us are RNYers, but there are a few that are lap bands. There is also a lapband board that can answer your questions better than most of us. BUT if you need a buddy in the Jackson area, I could be it!!! I live near Spillway road. smoochies Arlies

Hi all, I'm new to the board. I work in Jackson. I was banded in Mexico in May 2005. Dr. David Carroll has been my after care surgeon since July 2005. My band slipped and Dr. Carroll performed emergency surgery in February 2006 and repositioned the lapband. So I am now Dr. Carroll's surgical patient as well. At any rate, I am a lapband patient. From the time I left for surgery in Mexico, I am down approximately 40 lbs. I've had a rough ride. Unusual sicknesses and surgeries unrelated to the lapband that have caused me to have unfills which allowed weight gain. So I've gained and lost and gained and lost, etc. Now, I'm healthy and I'm on the right track.... losing, steadily. tutuclvr
