Can anyone recommend a good place to eat out for lunch? I know most places are bad bad news, but I'm at work this week full-time and I was just trying to think of some place to eat for lunch?? Oh and who the heck has sugar free ice cream around here??? I'm craving some ice cream, but I can't seem to find someone that has sugar free stuff. I tried Bruisters over the weekend and they didn't have anything. Hmmm... What about Baskin Robbins? Karine

Baskin Robbins does have some really good sf ice cream. But for some reason, sometimes I dump on their stuff even though it is sugar free. I just have to eat little bits of it. Walmart carries some good sugar free ice creams too. That way you can be at home if you are going to have a bad reaction to it LOL. As far as out to eat goes, I wasn't able to eat out much right at first. I packed all of my food every day for months and took it with me to work. But if I had to eat out I found that Chic Fil A's chicken noodle soup did good on my pouch. I could eat tuna salad and chicken salad out too. That was soft and gentle enough. Just make sure to chew, chew, and chew some more. One of the first experiences with something getting stuck was with chicken salad. Whew!! Refried beans topped with cheese are good. The Mexican place here would just let me order refried beans. Good luck being back at work and getting settled in. Melissa

Melissa thanks for the tidbits!! I ended up going to Fernando's here near work and ordered some refried beans topped with cheese. They made a mistake though giving me chips, salsa, and some cheese dip though... lol. I like the salsa and cheese on my beans anyway and it sure was good!! Thanks again... Karine

Glad you found something pouch worthy! It's hard to find things out that we can handle. I still have trouble ordering out. HUGS Kimberly

Bruster's DOES have sugar-free (or no sugar added**** cream (at least the one off spillway does or did....), but I don't like it! Nor do I like Baskin Robbins SF ice cream. Marble Slab Creamery USUALLY has some no sugar added and DQ at the Flowood Walmart has no sugar added fudge bars, fudge and vanilla bars, and orange and vanilla bars. I recommend the fudge bars! And Kroger brand no sugar added ice cream is pretty good. As for lunch, Logan's has a great potato soup and so does McAlisters. Also you CANNOT beat BackYard Burger's baked potatoes!!! I like Wendy's chilli and their side salads. And Chick-Fil-A has good side salads. Also mashed potatoes and gravey from KFC! Early on, I could eat pintos and cheese from TAco Bell and Red beans (with NO rice) from Popeye's. I am hungry now!!! DADGUM IT!!! smoochies Arlies
