Hiya WLS Friends, I've read many post.. Haven't posted alot. But I do read. I am not against anyone's oppinion, but I must share mine. And dont want to make anyone mad or upset. I love all of you and dont want to hurt anyone. We are all in his boat together and all adults! Right? Right!! I did have my surgery at CMMC with Dr Cleveland and his wonderful staff. I guess you can say that I'm particial to them. But anyway that is besides the point. What I'm wanting to say is......... My surgery was in Sept 2004 and back then they wasnt as busy with patients as they are now and it still took forever(it seemed like to me) for me to hear anything from them. At times I felt like they had forgotten about me. But there are so many hoops that they must jump through. And it takes major time for this. This is almost 2007 and I cant even imagine how many clients & patients that they have now. Whew!! I know they must be swamped. I do know that they have hired a team of people to help with this and have gotten organized more since 2004. We must rem that there are more people seeking this surgery as time goes on, and we arent the only ones out there. And that each of us are treated equally even though it doesnt seem like it at times. I know that this is just my opinion, but since some was giving their opinions I figured that I would give mine and my experiece with CMMC and Dr C. Barry I am like you......Dr C gave me my life back!!!!!! I had never been able to get in the floor and play with my kids considering that I was over 300 when my 1st child was born.. But I can get in the floor and play with my 3 grand kids Ibelong2Randall Jo

I am with you on this.... there has been so much negative posting (I don't mean the ones about complications, but the posts that are truly negative) about Dr. Cleveland, I decided I would post about the wonderful experience I had with Dr. Cleveland. Of course my post was taken out of context, and everyone thought I was talking about them. I only wanted to let people who may be looking into surgery know that there are good sides as well to CMMC and the doctors at CMMC! There were enough people posting about their negative experiences, I wanted some positive posts, I felt there needed to be some positive posts! I believe that Dr. Cleveland saved my life as well, and I would not have trusted anyone else to do my surgery. I knew I was in good hands with him and his staff! It's not perfect, I hate the answering service and really wish we could talk to someone who is actually in the office. I have had my problems with the way things have been billed (that should not have been billed to my account), but these are minor set-backs which I have learned to deal with as well as patient about. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Love, Marci

I know exactly what you are saying. People get accused of bashing doctors, hospitals and on other subjects on here all of the time. When really what they were doing is just sharing what happened to them. The facts like you said. Not bashing but sharing facts of information based on what happened to them. There is nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, I thought that is what this site was intended for. Those in the process of trying to get surgery can get discouraged and disgruntled as sometimes it is a really long and drawn out process. Who better to complain to and vent to but those who know what you are saying. I have seen no bashing on here by my deifintion of bashing. I have seen the sharing of facts and details of a person's personal experiences. And I have seen the sharing of feelings of those who feel they are being put off or neglected in trying to get the surgery. But I have seen nothing I would label as bashing. How are you feeling? I have been wondering about you. You need to post us an update. Melissa
