I didnt try popcorn until I was about 9 months post op. Your pouch is still pretty new. You might have trouble with it getting stuck that results in SEVERE PAIN but the only way to find out is to try it just like with any new food you are going to try. Good luck! Amy

I would be careful with that one. It's not an easily digestible food. I was much further out before I tried it, and even then I picked the kernels out. The "treat" wasn't worth the effort. Good luck! HUGS K ps... It didn't make me sick, just full.

You are probably craving strange things, or not exactly strange but things you probably should not have. I know I did especially at this point (subway sandwich - LOL), but just stick to what your doc says you can have and get plenty of fluids, and most of the times the cravings go away. Popcorn does not sound like a good idea to me..... Not exactly an answer, but a suggestion.....D.

Popcorn was not allowed by my doctor until about 6 or 8 months out. Be careful with that one. You could harm your pouch that is still trying to heal. You may be healed on the outside and feel better, but the pouch continues to heal for a few months afterwards. Introducing foods too soon is somewhat like introducing new foods or certain foods to an infant too early. You can develop intolerances to foods or create a pouch that is really inflamed and sensitive later on. Melissa
