Can anyone give me some info to ease my anxious mind! I wanted to ge a general/approximate/average time between the first meeting with the surgeon and the time you're actually given a surgery date. Lori told me when she gets the last thing she needs for my file, that she will set me up with an appointment to see Dr. Salameh or the other surgeon, which ever is available first. I'm so ready for this darn it! Brandi :~)

Hey brandi, I know it is hard, but you might as well get ready to learn patience. I used Dr. Salameh, and I love all of his staff, but it do take time. I had my first appt. On jan 3rd of this year to see dr s. Well, before that, I had already took it on myself to get a sleep study because I was pretty sure I had sleep apnea. (I did), I also had my pcp write my referral way ahead of time (almost a year) I took all my documentaion of previous attempts at weight loss, I mean I went in loaded with info. Then after my first app, I had to get a stress echo from my heart doc, I had to see my sleep doc again because it had been a while since my sleep study. I also had my pyscho exam when I went, anyway, after I did all that, I had to go to the medical mall to be evaluated. It took exactly 3 months to get the surgery, it doesn't always take that long, but everything they do is for your own good, so please don't give up. I know lori does all she can do to help everyone, I did not meet the first person that was not nice and helpful. Keep us informed!

Thank you sweety!!!! I've been at this since February of this year. So, 3 months is not that big of a deal to me, lol. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. Thanks for the encouraging words. Loves, Brandi ;~)
