I have never been a big eater of soups. But, I do love O'Charleys cheesy potato soup. Is that a "no-no" or would it be okay as long as the lumps are out? I don't know what else to try to eat at this point. Any ideas or suggestions? Karine

The potato soup at O'Charley's and Outback were too rich for my system. I can now tolerate several spoonfuls.

Girl, I lived on egg drop soup from the Chinese restaurant and potato soup from O'charleys! The only thing that I couldn't handle with the O'charleys potato soup was the bacon bits and the whole potatoes (french fries) at the bottom! Just ask them to leave off the bacon and you should be okay (and don't eat the chunks of potatoes!)

Karine, The O'Charley's soup had too many carbs for my system, but others have tolerated it well. Won't hurt to try, just only eat the liquid parts. Egg drop soup is an excellent option. Also the "soup" part of vegetable homemade soup is great. Ummmmmm.... I'm thinking..... Actually I'm thinking my sleeping pill is kicking in. I have to work in the morning but I'll be home tomorrow after 12:00. Give me a call if you don't hear from me. We need to talk! HUGS K

Try the fat free cream of chicken or mushroom strained thru a small strainer. The canned soups have alot of sodium if that's a problem for you get low sodium. The canned soups ran my BP up.. I lived for weeks on homemade dried lima bean soup, and kidney bean soup. I'm single so here's what I did. Its cheap ...try it.. I used 1/2 lb of beans . I soaked them overnight, or all day while I was at work in water w/ a pnch of baking soda to soften beans. Drained tha****er off and covered w/fresh water w/salt and a pkg of ham seasoning or a real ham hock or lite margarine . I cook them until they were mushy with lots of juice (water). I smashed them w/ a fork before eating. I promise I ate them at least 5 times a week. To prevent gas, they need to be really mushy and smashed. I was able to eat a little Veggie chilli from McAllistor's. Your thoughts??? glenda
