AM I DONE?
Ya'll May think I'm nuts, but I am almost 4 mos. Out, I've lost 53 lbs, getting very discouraged, I know 53 lbs is good, but it seems every lb. Has to be literally pried off me, I have to wonder if I am just done. I walk/jog on my treadmill at least a mile & a half, watch carbs/fat etc, drink my liquids and protien.. Well, just had to whine. Ya'll are all in my prayers. Way to go karine and danielle!
Nope, most definately not done...Actually doing absolutely wonderful, especially if you are watching carbs/fat, and drinking liquids and protein AND exercising...I bet you are still loosing inches if you will notice, and muscle weighs more than fat.
I REALLY hope somebody smarter than me gets on here and explains this a little better than me, what exactly is going on with your body.....But you feel free to ask questions like that any time you need to (only dumb question...one not asked!!), cause we do not want you to get discouraged.
For a little more encouragement, go to the main board, look through older posts and see that that is one of the main questions asked - right around 4 months lots of people see the same thing happening and ask if that is it, and may even be going through a little depression. See all the explanations for what is going on, it will probably help better than I am explaining.

Thank you deanna! I know everyone is different, and I do feel blessed to have lost this much, but I am still in the "learning to be patient mode" and I don't want my time to run out before I do get done. This is the best I have felt about myself in at least 15 yrs, thank you again for responding, I don't need to look at the main board, you answered quite well. Brenda

I know where you are coming from! I remember! It drove me nuts around that stage. I literally didn't lose a pound for a full month... NOT ONE! Then woke up one day and dropped 10, next day, another 10. I was like......Humph... not bad! LOL Your body is going through some amazing changes right now. Embrace them and hang on, cause it's all DOWN from here! (in a good way!) You are no where near through... and Deanna gave some good advice about checking other boards. Infact, are you a member on your surgery month board? That helped me alot. It is a board only for poeple who had surgery the same month you did, so you are all at about the same stage. I also went back and read alot of the previous year/same month board and saw many of the exact conversations going on with them at various stages.
Not that any of this makes it any less frustrating that the scale stopped moving so quickly! But this too shall pass!

NOPE you aint!!! I done the same thing at 4mos out and for me it lasted for about 3 mos with no wt loss, yhea i know that scarey!!! But you will porbably not stall as long as i did! I wasnt exersice that much at 4 mos out, well i was going to Curves but for me that wasnt enough. i suggest that you try changing up you exercise routine, our bobies(anybodys not just wls patients) get used to the same exercies routine and you will not get as much results as if you changed it up! KEEP up the walk/ jog thats great, but add in some kindda other activity just a few days aweek and i bet you will start to go down again!!! Walk/jog is much better for you than just JOGGING alone! Gets you heart rate up and then brings it down then up again and so on , burns way more calories!! OK all this exercise talk im all hiped up now got to go to the GYM!!!!!!!!!SPIN class today!!!
