My broken hubby.....
Yesterday, I spent ALL day at the doc's! First I went to the Medical Mall to see our very own Tams and then to Jim's appt at the Pavilion. Tams looks really good! I will have a picture later when I get it down loaded. And she seems in such better spirits, but the walking is not coming very well.
As for the errant hubby, well, his footie-tuttie is broken! We knew that. It seems that in the past the 4 bones from the big piggie to the next to little piggie broke ( and we weren't aware of it) and healed crooked. They then applied steady and constant pressure to the little piggie bone and it finally gave up and snapped. Jiim's foot is mis-shapened due to the first breakages and right now he is in a cast with orders of NO weight on the foot AT ALL. He has a prescrip for a wheelchair - getting it this am. He has to stay in his recliner with the foot up for 1 week. Then they will check to see if the little piggie bone is healing...if not, radical manuevers may have to occur - from as "small" as putting a pin in the little piggie bone up to and including breaking all 5 bones again and pinning them. If it is healing, another "no weight" cast goes on and it will continue for 8 weeks and then be checked again. In the meantime, Jim has another stress test scheduled for Aug 2. It has to be canceled or changed. He has a sleep study for July 31. He can't do that either. So his durn foot is holding up progress on the bigger picture, but the foot is a big problem since he is diabete and healing is hard to come by, too. We go back in one week to see how the healing is and determine the next step. I am sharpening my crochet hooks and may just use knitting needles as they are already a bit sharp.......
BTW, the little girl upstairs above us (she's 4) offered me her Daddy to be my hubby since mine is broken, but it is a package deal and I must take the Daddy, the Momma (who is preggie), the 4 year old and the 2 year old, too.
Love to all and thanks for the great support and love from you all.
And BTW, The KING is happily ensconced in his recliner with his foot u******g decrees that all begin with "I want...."

YUK YUK YUK!! There's not much worse than a sick or injured man! LOL I know mine gets the sniffles and he's in bed for the day... ringing a bell for us to serve him! SERIOUSLY!!! LOL Anyway - good luck with the EASY healing and praying for no surgeries for the foot, we gotta get all this other stuff taken care of ASAP.
I'll call ya for a swim date - my little ones really wanna get out. I've taken a second, well, 3rd job at night and could use a little rest in the pool for a while. But could you leave him alone for that long? We could always wheel him down to the pool and make him watch us have fun! LOL
I want you to teach me some water excersises (sp?) too!
HUGS
