Sugar-free Shopping
Okay, I went shopping Saturday to get most everything I needed for a week or two after my surgery. I had the absolutely hardest time trying to find "sugar free" stuff. I got the basics like jello, pudding, crystal light, skim milk and water. I went to Walmart and also Kroger to get most of the stuff I needed. I'm still looking for SF Carnation Instant Breakfast and SF Carnation Hot Chocolate... Did you girls find a store that carries alot of SF stuff or what?? Where do you shop for you SF groceries?
Oh, and the vitamins, was just UNREAL!! I went to Walmart and they have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many vitamins. Why can't it be simplier??!! lol I'm not even sure my vitamins are right. I think there is sugar even in the dern chewable things... lol. The pharmacist at Walmart couldn't even help me... Now, thats sad!!

I bought my carb control or something carb sugar free carnation instant breakfast at winn dixie and walmart its in a blue package not sure if it has"sugar free" in big type, it is harder to find than the regular.ALSO the carb countdown chocolate milk in the milk case is good and had a good amount of protein. Did you get your sugar free popcicles? you will need LOTS of them!! LOL I used the flinstons chewable just the regular ones were fine , dont think theres enough sugar in them to bother you. I use prenatial vits now , the kind you swallow. not sure when your dr, will let you have cream soups , but the cup of soups are great and feel good on the pouch.
DAWN~~
GET them popcicles SOON!!!!
I got my sf carnation at walmart. It is in a blue box. Sometimes they only have the big canister. I use the walmart brand vitamin that is the same as centrum. But I dont use the chewable anymore. You will need the chewable kind for a while. I think they make a centrum chewable if I remeber correctly. You can get broth too. that was yummy to me. Just be careful with getting it to hot. Hot choclolate didnt set well with me when I got it to hot. Try it just warm to start. Remeber you are getting a brand new tummy just like a baby. Take it slow. Somethings will set well some wont you just have to try things to see if you can tolerate them. We are all here for you if you need anything. Take care and best of luck.

Hi all! I May have already mentioned this but oh heck! And ya'll May know anyway, but most of the snowball stands around here(meridian) now have sugar free cones, I love the banana, cherry and strawberry ones. One even had dreamcicle flavor. Anyway, I just love them. In December it will be a year since I had real sugar in anything and I was addicted to it, diabetes really scared me! Anyway, just wanted to throw the snowballs out there.
