First of all thanks for all the support and prayers. I appreciate all of you folks! Tuesday, while at work, Jim was walking along and his foot popped and started hurting really, really badly. He could hardly walk. So he said if it was still hurting Wed am, he wanted to go to the doc before he went to his cardio visit. Well, his Doc had no appts available, but said to come on in and get an x-ray done. We did. The results did not get called to us until today. He has some breaks in the metatarsals (small bones of his foot). So we got an appt with an orthapedic guy - asap - and the only place they could get us an appt was in Canton at 1:30 today, so we went to Canton. Dr. Blount was the Doc and he was really nice. He was astounded that Jim had been walking around on that foot since Tuesday! (He really has been hobbling rather than walking!) The bones in the top of his foot are all crumbled up! Dr said this was NOT something that just happens when one is walking around - there was no stumble and he didn't drop anything on his foot - much to the doc's disbelief! So Jim has a walking boot on and crutches - we are a pair - one in a wheel chair and the other on crutches!!!! AND Jim is being refered to a foot and ankle guy back in Jackson for evaluation. He may need surgery. The ortho guy said this was beyond him and a surgeon need to see him ASAP. Dr. Blount did indicate that this may be a symptom of an underlying problem that we have not discovered yet. And he refused to elaborate or to guess what kind of problem it could indicate - other than to say, this kinda of thing DOES NOT HAPPEN. I told Jim, I have had enough and he is about to worry me to death and I am gonna cut his throat with my crochet hook to get us both out of our misery! He is anticipating a long drawn out hacking away by me, cause a crochet hook won't even cut butter. What am I gonna do with this guy? My hairs are already all grey! PLUS you should see him on crutches - I've had about 6 heartattacks since he got them at 3:30 today. His middle name is NOT "Grace on Crutches." Smoochies & Huggies from the rapidly aging Queen , Arlies

Arllies, I'am so sorry to hear about Jim. My sister has been in a space boot for 6 months now. The same thing happened to her, she was just walking to her car when she heard a pop. It brought her down to the ground. She like Jim waited two day before getting a x-ray. They did a bone scan later and found out her bones were not the right denisty. The doctor didn't believe her either. But her husband was watching her when it happened. My prayer are with you. Love Always Wanda Weimer

Arlies, this is Jan! I just came up to Gretchen's to check on everybody but never expected to witness a murder by knitting neddle. Wow, I am glad he was forced to see a doctor. I am sure you would have had to break his other foot if you had not lined him up with the cardio doctor. I sorry Jim, you just don't have a good reputation with going to the doctor. I want be on to keep up with ya'll so call me Arlies and let me know how ya'll are doing. I am waiting for the insurance adjuster to come and tell me what to do next. I guess I will have to buy another computer. You take care of everybody and remember murder is not exceptable. Love ya, Jan
