Surgery Date!!!! OH YEAH!
Lorrie,
That is wonderful news! That happened much quicker than I expected! I am so happy for you. I hope to see you at our meeting on Monday night, we will have our nutritionist from keesler there and she can answer any questions you may have about nutrition and eating pre and post operative.
Congrats!!
Rhonda
Thanks for the tips! Questions: Is there really any way to prepare for the emotional roller coaster? If so Pleeeeeeeeese share it with me. I am not afraid of having the actual surgery at all, however, I am afraid of not being able to eat a piece of Birthday Cake ever again! Is it normal for me to have my mind made up that I AM having surgery but I still can't imagine what it will feel like not to be able to eat the things that I Love. I guess it's just hard to imagine what it's like until it becomes a reality..... Am I making any sense????? Am I normal or just plain nuts!!!!!
Hey Lorrie ,
the reality is you will be able to eat a piece of birthday cake again the problem is you wont be able to hold the whole piece lol .It's like Dr. Salameh told me you will still be able to eat the foods you love if you choose to, you just wont be able to eat the whole thing lol .I am not like some, I have never had any instances where I have dumped and that may or may not be a good thing although I make everything sugar free except for birthday cake lol but ,I just had a birthday July the 9th and well I had a few bites of birthday cake (she says with ashamed face lol )and they were yummy lol .......Hugggs and Love....Sherry
