Hello Everyone! I go for my very first appointment tomorrow. I weigh 242 and I am so ready to have a life again. Any Suggestions?

Congratulations! My only advice is be patient. It will happen. It sometimes takes a long while before everything is in place for surgery but it will happen. Good luck and best wishes, Sonya Sumrall

My appointment was with Dr. Avara in Ocean Springs at the South MS Surgical Weightloss Clinic. Everyone was really nice to me. Just waiting on my medical records to get to the clinic. Thanks! Lorrie

HEY Lorrie! Welcome to the board, I am so glad that you decided to come on and join us. I see that you are going to see Dr. Avara today, that is great! I have heard great things about him. Please let us know how the appt goes. We will be praying that it will not be a long wait for you to start your life again. I have absolutely NO regrets about having my WLS, it has definitely gave me a new life. Our next support group meeting will be on Monday, July 24, our speaker will be the Nutrionist from Keesler, so be sure to write down any questions you may have and she will be able to help you out.
