Has insurance pretty much quit covering any part of reconstructive surgery ?

Hey, thanks for the info - I only have a tummy flap (ugh) and it really does go down a lot when I lose weight. Got about 30 pounds to get off (have gained around 50) and hope to get off the whole 50 within a year, so will probably look at plastics again if and when that happens - Then I will probably want to know the name of your surgeon, and will have seen your results, I hope, too. Are you coming to the 7/15 thing in Brookhaven? DeAnna

It's my understanding that insurances do not cover reconstructive surgery unless it is a medical necessity, as Donna said, rashes, etc....or in my case, if you are tripping on your belly skin!!!! smoochies Arlies

Yeah, I knew my insurance would probably not cover, but I was also hoping the doc would cut me a better price since I'm having a hysterectomy, but that ain't gonna happen....But, guess I would really like to lose the weight I have gained and then look back into it....When are you looking to having the belly skin removed? D.

I got about 130 lbs to go before plastics. I think it'll take me that long to brave up!!! smoochies Arlies
