For those who had their WLS at CMMC, how long was the wait between approval and the actual surgery? Am I looking at months, weeks or days? Heck, I'm ready to go within 48 hours. My will is written, my letters are in envelopes and all I need is a fleet soda. Meghan

It took months to get a final date even though I was a cash pay patient.

Hey girl! When I went to my pre-op appointment they gave me my surgery date and it was two weeks from the date of my pre-op appointment. This worked out great for me because I had a work conference the next week and I could not miss it! They will not schedule your pre-op appoinment until all the required tests and stuff are in. This was the worst part forme, getting everything in to them from my PCP (Labs and letter of clearance). Once you get your pre-op appointment you should breeze right thru...... Best wishes, Marci

Woohoo! As I said earlier, I am but 48 hours and a fleet soda away from any date. By the way, HOW ARE YOU???? I haven't heard from you for ages! Happy 4th! Meghan

I am doing much better now....Here is a BIG tip for you, go to Wal-Mart and get you a cheap timer that you can set for 15 minutes, and a stack of those 1 oz measuring cups (Walgreens ordered us a pack of these). Set this timer for 15 minutes and when it goes off - drink 1 oz of fluid. Reset your timer and repeat this all day! I say that because I don't want anyone to go thru what I did with severe dehydration. It was an awful experience that I do not want to ever go thru again! I was so weak and vomiting all day and night. It got to where I couldn't drink even a sip of water without getting sick. I ended up back in the hospital two weeks ago because of this, and let me assure you it was no fun at all. Believe what they tell you about SIP....SIP.....SIP...... Love ya, Marci
