I was doing ok. Woke up this morning all ready to start the liquid diet. Took that nasty Magnesium Citrate & was nauseous at first, but got over it. I had some broth, SF popsicles, broth from veg. beef soup, apple juice, crystal light. My husband left to go to his mom's in Bay Springs which is where our 3 daughters stayed the last 2 nights. I called my mom around 4 or 5 & she made the comment that my brother & sister were coming over for a BBQ & i was welcome to come. Told her I was safer at home. Thats when I started craving bbq too . I want a hamburger!!! My mom asked while i was on the phone "are you sure you wanna go thru with the surgery?" I told her yes. I guess now its really hitting home that it's going to be a LONG time before I really get to 'eat' again. 2 days until surgery still & I want food. Am I weak? or is it normal?

Only got a second, but wanted to tell you that is VERY normal - You probably made the right choice to stay at home tonight...Only 2 days left!!.....Good luck to you! DeAnna.

You did the right thing by staying home. No need to torture yourself that way. The next few weeks you will go through many feelings. You will mourn food, you will crave everything that you can't have even if you don't really like it, you will want it. But rest assured, the end result will be worth it all. You will learn to say no to those foods that are bad for you, and you will adapt a new healthier lifestyle that will extend your life many years and make you feel years younger! I wish you the best of luck with all those horrible food demons. Remember, we are all here for you, through thick and thin. If you need a friend, reach out to us.. Take Care. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family tomorrow as you begin your new life! Rhonda

I went thru the food cravings too, but you will not always be on a liquid diet. You will be able to eat real food again, just not as much. I eat 1/2 a burger when we grill out, and I am stuffed to the max!! Before I could eat two whole burgers! But ive lost 98 pounds to date, and it feels wonderful so it is totally worth it! Crystal
