Sue, Try this one. French Vanilla Ice Cream This is a very simple recipe and extremely quick to prepare! You can vary the amount of vanilla that you use and also use all cream instead of the cream/water mixture I have used here. I find the water just breaks up the richness a little. Ingredients: 3 medium pasteurized eggs 5 tablespoons Splenda 2 cups heavy cream 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Using a medium sized bowl, whisk the eggs until they are light and fluffy (using an electric whisk saves time here). Whisk in the Splenda, one tablespoon at a time and then whis****il the mixture is light and fluffy again. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk on a high setting until fully blended. Scrape the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze as usual. Serves 6. Per serving: 3.85g carbs; 0g fiber; 4.75g protein; 32g fat; 215mg cholesterol; 61mg sodium; 315 calories Cindi

Think I'll try that, but will make the eggies into a pudding and add it that way - I worry about those eggies even if they are pastuerized!!!! Thanks! smoochies Arlies

Arlies, I agree with you on the eggs. I would make a custard or pudding too!! Especially in this heat. You can't be to safe with eggs. Cindi

1 Large box sf instant vanilla pudding 2 sm whipping cream (1 pt size) Milk 40 packets of equal 2 tbsp vanilla Optional (peaches or strawberries) Mix pudding, equal, whipping cream, vanilla, and enough milk to fill ice cream freezer. And churn away. This is really great ice cream. We made it last year and our neighbors never knew it was sugar free. It is really creamy. It looks like it will not mix up because it looks lumpy, but it will mix up in the ice cream freezer. We made one batch plain vanilla and another with peaches. Both were good. Melissa

What kind of whip cream? Do you use the sf or light or ff? Would it make up right with the sf cool whip....Looks like a great recipe. D.

It is unsweetened whipping cream. It is where the milk is. It is in a carton and is usually right there by the half and half. Whipping cream comes in that carton ready for you to sweeten and doctor up. That is where the 40 packets of equal and vanilla flavoring come into play. It is great ice cream. I have some churning away right now. We are making banana splits. I found some sf smuckers fudge sauce and caramel yesterday at Walmart. Melissa

I could DRINK the sf smucker's caramel sauce!!! I have turned into a pure D caramel fanatic since surgery!!!!! And that sounds so good!!! I made a bit of strawberry, banana, cheesecake ice cream. I used one packet of instant sf cheesecake pudding mix, one large banana, several strawberrys, a teaspoon of vanilla and a dash of splenda (1/4 cup, maybe...) and a quart of whole milk. My little freezer only makes about 1 1/2 quarts, but it was good! I gots some in the freezer for after awhile! smoochies arlies PS do you think if we break Christine's knees, she will stay with us in MS????? I'll volunteer for the left one if you'll get the right one!

It is no use. She is gone already. I have lost my sidekick. They are living in Texas now. She sneaked away while I was on vacation. I guess I need to change my name on here now that there is no Tweedle Dum to go with my Tweedle Dee LOL. I am happy for her. She was excited about going. I hope it all works out for her. Your ice cream sounds really good. I love cheesecake. Melissa
