Had checkup last week with GYN - Found out late yesterday evening that my Pap smear was very abnormal - So, tests (colposcope) tomorrow at St. Dom. Going to have hysterectomy soon, but they still want to look at the thing and rule out cancer....So, it is a little scary and I would really appreciate your prayers for me through that....Thanks so much...Deanna

Oh, girlie, bless your heart! I hope and pray that it turns out to be nothing at all. St Dommie's is prolly the best hospital in Jackson, so you will be in great hands - I love that the little nuns come around and visit and pray with you - even if you aren't Catholic. I will pray continually today for you. smoochies Arlies

Well, that biopsy was a pain in the but (literally LOL) Kinda feel like I been riding a horse (is that gross or what!?) Did make me feel pretty bad friday and especially Saturday evening. ....Doc did say he saw some high grade dysplasia (precancerous) lesions and should get the results back towards the end of this week, and hopefully all I gots to do is have it out ---- I told him (doc) that I was tired of the thing (uterus) and I was ready for him to have it!! Thanks for prayers and thoughts - they mean a lot to me...D.

DeAnna, We are thinking about you and pray that all will be well. Who is your Gyn? I have worked in Gyn for 23 years and know a lot of the docs. Thoughts are going your way. glenda and walter

Thanks so much. That would be Dr. Wiggs - he is the nicest doc. This was my first time to see him. Unfortunately, I have not had a Pap in almost 4 years - and then about 3 years before that. Pap came back HGSIL, moderate dysplasia, CIN-2. I do medical transcription and happen to type for Sloan-Kettering in New York, for GYN doctors. So I know what all initials stand for, but you tell me what you think about it ? I probably would not have gotten a Pap this year, except I am looking into having a TT along with the hysterectomy to get a discount on the TT - I guess that was fortunate....D.

My prayer are with you. I was lucky in 2001 my hysteromy took care of my cancer. I had to have what they call a Total hysteromy. And no treatments after. I hope there is on cancer. God Bless you and your family. Wanda Weimer

Thank you, I do appreciate your prayers - Total hyst, that means just the total uterus, right, no other tissue or nodes or anything? Thanks for the info. DeAnna.
