Ok, So I've been counting down for the last 2-3 wks anxiously awaiting July 6. So I knew last Thursday was 2 wks & this Thursday would be 1 wk but it just dawned on me last night that my surgery is NEXT week!!! LOL! That makes it sound so much closer...to me anyway. So I've lost my mind...oh well!!! I'm so excited!!!! Told my mom I wanted some Smoked Turkey & dressing before I start low fat diet (friday). I also want to go to my Aunt & Uncles seafood stand in Seminary & get some fried catfish & shrimp . & gotta go to SnoBiz for a snow cone . I'm so bad. Food funerals...next 5-7 days

Hey - Just looked at your profile - are you still having TT in Oct ? If so, what doc are you using? Insurance paying any? I can't wait to get that ball rolling! Thanks, DeAnna. (I'm going to actually stop and do a profile with pics later in the week or weekend).

It's very funny how right before surgery EVERYONE gets EXTREMELY friendly with all their favorite foods! Enjoy yourself, but when the diet day starts - stick to it. It will help you out so much! Now the fun is going to begin! smoochies Arlies

Thanks Ya'll. I appreciate everything! My mom keeps telling me she hopes I know what I'm doing & she's affraid of my mental health postop. I know depression sometimes follows WLS & I hope the weightloss will keep me from being too blue. I know it's going to be difficult....especially mentally. Thanks again!

Melissa, I have always felt this but this month I heard a study that proved my theory. Vitamin b-12 does help fight anxiety and stress related depression. They also said that the Omega-3 multi vitamins help with depression. Most of us did get a depressed around the end of month two or so. The great thing is you can come on here and everyone will help guide you through it. It last for only a brief time. However, you new life can last for years and years to come! Good Luck, Sonya Sumrall
