I don't know for sure, since I've not had one. I think they may or may just be sore.

I have an inscisional hernia, and it bulges out on my left side of inscsion, it just hurts, and its sore. I can feel it popping in and out. The doctor told me it would be best to wait until I lose all my weight before getting it fixed.
Mine caused back muscle spasms!!! Go figure????
Had it repaired with mesh by sweet Dr. Salemah, when I had skin removal done.
Did not have a bad recovery.
