Psych Eval Yesterday!
I'm glad I didn't stress over this like I could have. It was a piece of cake and no big deal. I looked for psychs in Starkville, but the all were either not taking new patients or thought the process would consist of 2 or 3 visits. I ended up hauling to Jackson to see Dr. Jean Hawks. Let me tell you, she was wonderful. It was more like catching up with an old friend that talking to a psych. dr.
I'm glad it's over with. Now I have to wait for her to write her report and then check with CMMC in the next 4 days or so to see if they've received it. Each step I blow through is one step closer to getting a date. I'm starting to get excited.

I talked with Aunt Lucille. She was very agreeable and non-talkative at first and didn't have a whole bunch of questions. This worried me, because she is always Ms. 20 Questions. She agreed to put a down payment on the medical loan and then send me the money to pay the monthly loan payment. I guess after it sank in, she began asking important questions, but she's still very supportive. I'm blessed to have her in my life.
How are you doing? How much have you lost now?
I had all my other requirements in before the psyc evaluation so it only took about a week and I got a call from Jeannie with a pre-op date. This visit will last around 3 hrs or so. We watched a video and went thru a nutrional class. At the pre-op visit Jeannie will give you a folder with your surgery date listed. It won't be long now, just hang in there and be patient for a few more days.

What requirements did you have in? I had the tests done back in February, but my PCP has YET (grrrr....) to send them to CMMC yet. Jeanie is supposed to call and get on their case a little. My PCP and Neurologist were supposed to send in their clearance letters 2 WEEKS ago (grrrr again...) but they've yet to do so as well. So I've got to call and see what the deal is.
I finally get to a point where I can move ahead gracefully and my docs are holding me back. I know they are busy and I'm trying to respect that, but it's frustrating.

I had to have the lab work and chest x-ray from my PCP and letter of Medical Clearance. My PCP was very slow about getting this as well. My doctor had promised me the week before that she had it all ready and would have it to them by that Friday. Tuesday rolled around and still nothing so I went to her office and stood at her secretary's des****il they put the test results and letter in my hand. Then I faxed it all to Adam at CMMC myself! Come to find out she didn't write the letter or print out the test results until I showed up at her office! You just need to stay on them and make them understand that you are waiting on them now to have the surgery and they need to get this info to CMMC ASAP!
Best of luck!
