I'm on my way... I think :)
My visit with Cindy Neal was quick and simple. She will go over your family history and stuff that you filled out and turned in at the seminar. The visit with Cindy Neal didn't take but about 20 minutes after I was called back.
I would wait until you get your letter from them before you set up your tests with your PCP, because not everyone has to have the same tests done. It will depend on your co-morbities and other health issues as to which tests they will require you to have. I did not have to have a Pulmonary Function Test or a sleep study. I only had to have my PCP do the chest x-ray, lab work (CBC, CMP, Thyroid Panel, EKG, lipid profile) and a letter of medical clearance from my PCP. Also had to do the psyc evaluation, I used Dr. Hawks since she is familar with what CMMC requires. If you are self-pay, it would be easier on you to wait and see what tests they will need rather than spend money on tests that might not be needed.
Best of luck!

The appt. with the nurse practioner doesn't take long at all. All she really does is go over the papers that you filled out. She doesn't really even explain the procedure or anything with you. She'll also ask you which doctor you would like to go with. You can choose one or let them choose for you. My coworker and I let them choose for us and she ended up with Dr. Cleveland and I ended up with Dr. Ferrugia. Her surgery was a day before mine, so it doesn't seem like any one doctor is more booked up than the other. There is always two of the three doctors in every surgery anyway. So, we both ended up with both Dr. Cleveland and Dr. Ferrugia operating on us.
After my first visit, I thought "boy, what a waste of time", but it's required to go any further. So, grin and bare it. Be sure to get there a few minutes early so you can check in and everything. Good luck!
