Antidepressiants were not working======

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had been on antidepressiants since 1983 and after I had my RNY I started having increased depression. I could not get any answers from any of my doctors. But, I did find out the hard way that the capsules do not break down fast enough in our little stomach. I had to be hospitalized and my meds changed to fast desolving anti depressiants. I was in the hospital for 4 days but I feel great now and I have hope that I will be okay now. Don't let this happen to you. Smiles, Jan

Thank you Michelle for your kindness. I was on 3 prozacs at 20 mg and 3 ativan at 1mg a day plus heart, blood pressure, and lots of others and I was just getting more and more depressed. I am now on the fast desolving Effoxor 37.5 2 times a day and .5 ativan 2 times a day. First my brain was cleared by getting off so much ativan and now everything is like a different world. Hope gave me 50% improvement and the meds gave me the other 50% so I am feeling great. Smiles, Jan

Thank you so much Christine for careing. I am doing so much better now. I did have to change to a new psyco doc at St. Dominic but at least he listened and did something before I was too far gone. I am very happy with my new doctor and meds. Have a wonderful day and by the way last night when I finally got on line I really didn't reconognize you from your new picture.
