Hello Everyone, I am out of the hospital and at the Wingate Inn in Oxfprd, AL. I will be here until Wednesday morning. I think I did great. The doctor said I was ahead of the game at this point. However, I did have a small setback last night. I started running a temperature of 102.9 and I had to call the after hours office numbers. I took Tylenol to drive the temp down but it lasted all night. This morning it is 99.7. I went for a walk around Oxford Lake. They have a walking trail that is 6.7 of a mile long. I made it all the way. I did have to stop and rest several times, but I did make it. I'm planning to go back this afternoon. It is beautiful there, ducks, squirrels, birds, and other walkers. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Please keep them coming my way. I am still on clear liquids until the drains come out. Can't wait. Love to you all, Dyan

In reading over my post I realized that I made a big mistake with a decimal point. The walking track is .67 0f a mile long( not quite .7 of a mile long). What can I say, I'm mathemactically challenged or I CAN'T TYPE. One way or the other, it seemed like a long way. Love You, Dyan

It's wonderful to hear that you're doing good! Walking is the best healing power I believe. I had fever for about a day too, luckily it just went away after a day. I certainly hope you continue to do well and get back home safely! DeAnna Bailey.

Hello All, I went and walked by the lake again. I wish you all could see this place. It is beautiful, the mountains in the background just top it off. The walk was harder this time because I was tired and the sun was beating down, but I made it all the way around. There were lots of families out enjoying the day with their kids. It helped to brighten my mood a little. Although it made me regret that my son was far away, although I did talk with him later. The fever is still with me and I have developed a cough which is agonizing as you can imagine. More Tylenol and then off to bed. Thanks to all of you for caring enough to write, and pray. I love you all. Hope we get to meet soon. Love, Dyan

Hi Dyan, I'm so glad things are going pretty well for you, I'm a little concerned though with the fever and cough. Please call your surgeon's office today ( hopefully they're open ) and talk to them. You certainly don't want to risk catching pneumonia at this point, and that's the very reason you're in the hotel, so you have easy access to the hospital and they can get you hooked up quickly with help. Walking already and three quarters of a mile !! Great job! You'll see, before you know it, you 'll be walking several miles without even thinking about it. Or spend all day shopping & walking around the malls and then the KIDS complain because they're tired! I can't even begin to tell you how much this WLS has done for me to get my life back. You're definitely on the right track here, walking early on makes it so very much quicker on recovery. Keep up the good work and again, please (????) call your surgeon today, ok? Take care and you're in my prayers!! ~Andie~
