OK, real problem

I have a real mental problem....Ok, I was determined to log my food on fit day. After I loged in ONE breakfast burrito (homemade), my protein shake, then 5 wheat crackers and LF cream cheese, I was more than halfway through with my calories for the day AND HAD NOT HAD LUNCH YET...so, I started obsessing about that, and when I ran to the bank I stopped through taco hell (LOL) had a steak fajita AND a taco supreme, came home and had some strawberries with sugar. Well, needless to say, that put me at around 2,300 calories, AND I still have not had supper yet and it is only 12:50.......It seems the harder I try, the harder it is. I start obsessing about food, then that is all I think about, then I just eat and eat....SO, I am going to continue to log in on Fit Day, and maybe that will be a wakeup call to see how many calories I am actually eating, and start just having protein and steamed or raw vegetables (which is what I should be doing anyway). What do you guys do? Do you have set menus, or make out a menu at the beginning of the day? Should I just not eat the rest of the day, or what. I'm sooooo confused.... PS. I have been exercising the last few days, and will be upping that as of today!!

oh lordy lordy, i know what you mean those stinking calories can add up before you even relize what you have done! I write down everything i eat somedays it helps and others i just dont give a durn and keep eatting! So i dont know what to tell yhou to do ,i hope someone does cause i need the anwser too! haha I do know that you don't need to starve yourself the rest of the day , that will only lead to a binge later.I dont realy set a menus, but i do have a list of what i think are exceptiable meals that i pull from, its the Snacks that mess me up! haha I have tryed the to make a menu the day before , that dont work too well for me, cause i always change my mind on what sounds good, and if i eat what is on my menu and it wasnt what i wanted i will go eat that too! LOL Keep up the exercising, you know that i love that! DAWN~~ NOT sure i was of much help sorry!

Thanks Dawn, no I'm not starvin myself the rest of the day. I am going to go back and look at some of the old posts where you guys have wrote down your meals, beause there are lots of good ideas on there, and just try to go to protein and veggies. Just got to quit obsessing. I am going to try the Juice plus (vitamins made from whole vegetables and fruits). They are SUPPOSED to stop cravings and such - just got to order them next week. Yes, you are such a help, definately somebody I can always count on! Thanks so much. D.

I find myself doing the same thing. I think about food all the time lately. I just can't get enough of it EVER!!! I find myself eating to "stuffed" sometimes. I MUST get control over it!!!! It's so frustrating. I know how frustrated you are right now...just hang in there and keep logging it in. You have the dedication it takes.... I wish I had it! I'm still in the "easy" phase. But I can see myself heading in the same direction. Hang in there girly! I got your back! Just call me and I'll yell at ya! HUGS Kimberly

I can totally sympathize with you. When I have tried to log what I eat at each meal then I just seem to obsess over food. I try not to think about food except at meal time. I put a piece of protein and veg. on my plate, eat it and then don't think about it again. Every day I eat something I really want, but I eat it in a minimal portion. I would love the super double taco, but I get the regular taco and savor every little bite and chew it excessively so I can get every bit of enjoyment out of it that can be gotten and use the hot sauce to get the maximum bang out of it. Plan to have your special treat don't let it control you. Don't beat yourself up over it or you'll get depressed and eat even more. I bought that book Before and After and she has alot of recipes with alot of spice and flavor. Good tasting and good for you foods don't have to be bland. I put taco seasoning, cajun seasoning, garlic powder, pepper, salsa or onions on just about everything I eat. If everything has big flavor then you won't be craving. Chocolate protein shakes takes care of my sweet chocolate cravings (Isopure) Experiment with spices. Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks so much for the advice. I think that is a VERY good idea - "protein and veg" on plate and eat it and forget it...I did go to the grocery last night and got fish filets, bags of frozen vegs, I love the stir fry vegs because of the variety, usually steam them or stir fry with a tiny bit of olive oil. Got some salsa and other things to season up everything. Have plenty of chicken and tenderized deer meet in the freezer (which is great to cut into fajita size strips and have with vegies)...Really good ideas. I am going to have to put a little effort into not grazing now. The recipe book sounds great too. Gonna look into ordering as soon as I am through here....Thanks again! DeAnna.

All I can say is it must be something in the water!!!! I HATE writing down what I eat and seem to go overboard when I do. My emotions have been all over the charts here lately and it seems like I am a bottomless pit. I am trying real hard to limit myself to no snacking - and it ain't easy! Especially when you want to do nothing but eat Russell Stover sugar less chocolate, caramel with almonds..... ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Hang in there!!!! smoochies Arlies
