Has anyone here had a belt lipectomy? I am getting ready to have one on May 31 and I am terrified!! The thought of being cut all the way around is quite frightening. Now, getting the boobs is a different story! That, I am very excited about. I am actually gonna have some!!! LOL, that is the first thing I lost completely after surgery. Kitsy

I had a panectomy and breast lift. (-10 lbs from tummy) Get your back in good condition. You will be pulled forward for a few days. I did not experience much pain. I didnt take but 1 or 2 doses of pain meds during recovery. You want to find out if they will use stitches or staples. Stitches are better. The places where they reattached skin to muscle was a little painful. They rolled pencil size gauze on top of the skin to prevent the stitch from pulling through. These left the worst of my scars. You want to have them put in a transdermal pain pump. If you are having it at a teaching hospital. Kindlly ask that they make both sides symetrical. My left side is tighter than the right. Left breast is smaller too. I did not go for boob implants. We did not know I needed them until they removed sagging tissue. Everything said and done--I WOULD DO IT AGAIN. I am considering a revision of waist and breast. I need more skin removed from area between breast and waistline. It was not done when I had the other because I was also having double hernias repaired. Also saggy back skin and thighs are a dream one day. Where will you be having it done? glenda
