Okay, this is so painful and weird. Under my tongue, where one of your salivary glands are--it is swollen and HURTS. I thought it felt sore yesterday, but today I can't eat or drink without it really hurting. I looked it up online and apparently concentrated salt in your saliva can cause 'stones' that can block the gland. Anyone with experience? I'm not sure if this will subside on its own or if i should see a doctor or dentist ?

Could be a food allergy, did you eat or drink something that you should not have had???? May be an infection also, you need to go to the doctor first, I would think!

Have you been telling lies again? Is it a "story" bump???? Shame on you!!! Actually "story" bumps are aggrevated taste buds, but since this is UNDER your tongue, maybe you told a REAL WHOPPER!!!!! See your Doc! smoochies Arlies

My sister had this several years ago. She passed the stone just like someone would pass a kidney stone. It looked like a small piece of rock or sand. After she passed the stone everything was okay. Melissa
