a few questions

What do you bring to the hospital? I know I'll take hair brush & spray, hair bands, toothbrush& paste, deoderant, chapstick, & wet wipes. Some say to bring feminine pads incase period starts but I'm trying to be careful to schedule it when I won't have to deal with that. I have horrible periods & that is one thing I don't want to deal with! Sorry if tmi! Anyway what else? Will I be in ICU? Some posters say they were the first night or 2. Are kids allowed to visit? I'll be at Forrest General. How fast did your clothing size change? I wear size 22 now. I have one pair of sz 20 jeans & then I have 2 or 3 sz 18 jeans that once I get to about 205-210 I may can wear. Once I shrink too small for those I'll be in need of 14's & 16's cuz I gave all mine to my cousin after my DD#3 was born. as for anything under a 14 , I'll need cuz it's been YEARS since my fat behind has been in any. lol. I know hand me downs is a blessing but I guess I'll try rummage sales, et****il the weightloss slows. Then my poor DH will pay for a shopping spree. ;) I know there's more ?'s & I'll post them as I remember. Sorry, folks, I'm scatterbrained!

BE sure to take some comfy shoes, or slippers that have a little extra room in them incase you are full of fluid after surg, you will need to be up walking or running in the halls , also a robe or you own pjs if you dont care for showing your naked behind in those hospital gowns! haha oh and something loose to wear home and a pillow to hold on your tummy in the car on the ride home, those dumps in the road hurt. I wasnt in the ICU , but some are , i guess every surgon is differant. All 4 of my kids came to visit me , but i was at keesler, not sure on forrest gens rules. My clothes sizes changed realy fast, i was in a 20/22 to start with , it seems like i skipped the 18's and was in 16's before i could blink, then i skipped 14's and I'm in a 11/12's now and have been since december, they are finally starting to get loose on me ! I hope to be in a 8/10 by my surg anniversary in june! Just don't do like me a go nuts shopping i bought way to much stuff now most of it is too big, im not complining , i just wish i would have saved my money and waited until i got to goal.I guess i couldn't go naked though ! haha dawn~~

You could make some of that money back on ebay!!! Oh, and I'm really worried about those "dumps" in the road. LOL!!!!!!!

HAHA I'm not a very good typist or speller, you have to over look me! I did mean BUMPS, BUT now that you mention it the DUMPS in the road ain't too good either! I have delt with both!

They told me to show up with nothing more than what I was born with!!! I said, "NAKEY?" They said pretty much!!! But I remember Rhonda bringing me chapstick and it was a LIFESAVER!!!!! smoochies Arlies

brings some slippers and anything else u want for comfort, i did my makeup one day just to feel better!! no icu with dr whitehead unless something goes wrong and nothing has so far. yes kids allowed to visit its a normal room.
