post op question

Hey everybody, A quick question for anyone who's had lap rny. How long is the recovery period. I have to assist with lifting and moving patients. I was thinking 4-6 wks. Also I have read alot of profiles that say they were weak after surgery for a while. Any insight or advice? Sheri

I had lap RNY, but I don't work....I got really, really tired very quickly for the first month or so. After 4 to 6 weeks you should be fine! Good luck! Smoochies Arlies

Hey Sheri, I had Lap Rny and like Arlies said you may feel weak and tired for a little while, but after 4 to 6 weeks you should be okay. I also wanted to say hello and welcome to our MS family here. Good luck with your upcoming surgery. I hope you will post often with us. Melissa
