My 7 yr old is a little under average height & weighs 46#s. She wears a size 6 although some of them fit good & others are big. She is not a 'slim' but isn't overweight. My 3 yr old was a chunky girl from birth. She was 8#s & now weighs about 32 but she doesn't look overweight. She looks filled out though. I tell her she has a juicy booty lol. Its so cute. It used to wiggle when she'd run. I'm affraid she may have a weight problem someday but hope not. I just don't want them to be miserable & unhealthy. DH & I have to talk & agree on a few things concerning the junk & unhealthy stuff. Thanks for the replies. I'll get Summer's (DD#!) bp checked soon & see whats going on.

Yep, my 9, soon to be 10-year-old son is about 5'5" and is about 165 pounds, but he is built like a miniature football player, big shoulders, wide frame. His father has the largest bone frame his doctor said he has ever seen, but my husband is overweight some too on top of being very muscular. Blake (9-year-old) is built just like him. I do try to talk to him about making better choices, rather than scold him, because he is too young to diet and I do not want him to have a complex. I think he is absolutely gorgeous, but I don't want him to be made fun of OR have high BP and the things that go along with being overweight and sedentary..Trying to get him up and out being more active. I try not to worry about him too much all the men in my family are over 6'2 big huge framed men, not overwt , so hopefully he will take after them and keep sprouting upward! He wears a size 10mens shoe, med mens shirt and size 18-20 husky pants!

Yep, he's a big'un, 9 mens shoes, 18-20 husky, kinda short legged and long backed, very broad shoulders....and would eat only carbs if I would let him, it's tough to get them to make good choices...

I dont have kids that are overweight, they are adults. But they are trying now to get more fit. I have cleaned the house of sugar stuff, and although we have a few things for Don, mostly everything is sugar free. He takes his snacks to work to eat there instead of home. The biggest problem for most folks is Cold drinks!!! They will put fat on anyone no matter who. They are full of corn syrup, which is what they use to fatten cattle and pigs, no wonder people are so heavy. And kids love drinks no matter what. Get them out of the house, and start using Splenda or cut the sugar back, it is healthier.
