Joyce? Where are you?
Hey Joyce--where are you? How're you doing? I'm anxious to hear from you.
I'm doing okay--down 30 pounds since my pre-op diet started. yay! but unfortunately, I haven't been able to progress even my full liquid diet! Every time I try to add a creamy texture (soups) I just get so nauseated that I have to lay down a few hours. that really sucks. I have to be back at work this week--so I'm not looking forward to it still unsure of what I can have for energy. I'm not even getting my protein in. I have an appt with the doctor thursday--so we'll see what he says.
post how you are! I really hope you're well. *hugs*

Hey,
According to my scales I am down 34 pounds. I am stiill on full liquids until 3-21. I am doing ok except I still have my staples and they won't come out till 3-21 I have alot more energy already and if I didn't have these staples I belive I could do alot more. I go back and see Dr. Salamah on 3-21. You ought to come to the support group tomarrow night even if u didn't use UMC. The Dr. That is doing it is from the boards too he is AWESOME. I would love to meet you.

Mary, I could not tolerate the creamy soups either. Try boiling potato until it is very soft break it up with a fork and add a tiny bit of milk and a little butter and salt to make potato soup. It is a little thinner and easier for your tum to tolerate. SF popcycles are good and I also loved the broth from beef or chicken as long as it was not greasy. Could not go the canned soups tho!
