Help

I have so many questions I do not know where to start. I called CMMC for information, but they told me I had to come to one of the meetings. So i am going on March 20. I have BCBS New York. What all do I need to have done before I go a doctors visit. Is it hard to get approved to have the surgery. If anyone has some tips to share I would love to hear from you. Thanks

Hi Anita, My name is Tonya. We are neighbors. I am in Forest. Well i don't know how much help i can be but i can tell you what i did. i attended the seminar. then i signed up that night to meet with the nurse practioner her name is Cindy Neal. She gets all of your information ready to send to your insurcance. Now I knew when i went over to the seminar that my insurance would pay. Well then i just sat back and waited until i recieved a letter of approval from my insurance. then i got a package in the mail telling me what i needed to do next . by this time the ball is in your court. there was a letter to my pcp and a list of tests they need done before you can go any further. then you go see a pyshcoligist for an evaluation. so when u get all that done the pcp and the pysh dr get all their info and send it to ccmc. then you get a call from them to set up an app with the surgeon. that is an all day thing because you see the dr and the nutritionist and u see several people while there. i am having my surgery on march 27th. Hope that will help. if you need to ask anything else just ask the people on this site are heavenly they are soooooooo supportive and full of encourgaement for one another. just keep coming back ..... your new friend tonya......
