UPDATE ON TAMS!!
Johnny, Tams' hubby, called me yesterday looking for Dr. Salameh's number. He wants to check with him to see what he thinks and if he knows anyone else that has had a situation like our Tams. Tams started having muscle spasms on Thursday - Johnny said he'd never seen the like! She basically balled up in a knot when they spasmed. And all she could do was cry. They took her yesterday for an MRI. Popular theory is that when you have a vitamin deficiency, parts of your brain shut down - specifically, in this case, the part that governs muscle control (Tams can't stand up or even sit up) - and since she has been getting vitamins in her IV, her brain is "waking" up in the parts that weren't functioning right and the "waking" is causing the muscle spasms. Keep her AND Johnny AND Alex in your prayers.

What your having is LOW potassium and you need to get that checked out....If it's not too low, V8, a banana, baked potato, orange or other high potassium food will stop the leg cramps. HOPEFULLY, since Tams is in the hospital, they have done blood work and know what her potassium is running and if needed have her on potassium supplements! My potassium level was slightly low at my one year check up - that's why I now cause my sweet Doc told me to eat oranges and bananas and drink V8....I WILL mention this to Johnny, just in case something has been overlooked by the docs! Thanks!

Thanks for the update, please let them know that we all love her and are praying for her. Is she anywhere near anyone that can go by and check on her in person to let her know we are all here rooting for her?
I totally hate that she is having to go through all of this! If there is anything any of us can do for her, please let us know.
