Women examine yourself!!!
As a few of you know I found a mass in my breast
Feb 23, I never noticed it until that morning when I saw it in the mirror as I started to step in the shower.
By some miracle, I was able to see the dr. at UMC who did my plastic surgery the same day. She said it was not anything related to the breast lift. SEE A SURGEON ASAP. She suggested I would probably see one sooner in Laurel.
By begging I got in to see one THE NEXT DAY. He did a needle aspiration that day. He scheduled a mammagram. He said if it were a cyst it would probably go away after the aspiration. It didn't .
Had the mammagram on Mar. 3. Before I left they wanted a ultrasound. Got it done that day.
Saw the surgeon yesterday Mar. 8. My pathology report shows abnormal precancerous cells. He thinnks he can remove easily since it is near the skin surface.
Surgery scheduled for Tues Mar 14, Outpatient.
I am so glad that things are moving so quickly!!!!
Yall since my skin removal and the problem I had with this breast I have examined "investigated" them daily. HOW DID THIS OCCUR SO QUICKLY??
I AM THANKFUL TO HAVE FOUND THE LUMP.
I AM BEGGING EACH OF YOU TO PLEASE
CHECK YOURSELF TODAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH . I AM SO LUCKY SO FAR. I LOVE YALL.
GOD IS GOOD.
GLENDA
As you and I have discussed before everything happens for a reason. And I know you have had problems and issues since your skin removal, but if you hadn't you may not have noticed or found the lump. So thank goodness for that. The last time I talked to you, you had not gotten the results back from the test. I hate they have to do surgery to remove it, but at least they feel they can get it easily. Call me if you need anything or just need to talk. Keep me posted on how everything goes. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

BTW I got a phone call on my cell phone from "City of Laurel" and I called it back and they couldn't tell me who had called. Was it you?
Glenda you are in my prayers. Thank you for the challenge you have given each of us to check ourselves daily. My own mother has one breast thanks to cancer but knowing all you went through to get to this place makes this more real to me. Thank you for shareing your personal with us. I pray for a quick recovery for you and a wonderful body. Love ya, Jan
