Am I normal?
Hey yall!
I was just wondering what the average weight loss was for yall when you were about 2 months out, so far Im averaging 2-3 pounds a week, sometimes just 2. Is that normal? I figured it would be faster than that, I know Im probably just being impatient, but I get frustrated sometimes because its not coming off as fast as I thought it would.
The Biotin is really helping my hair loss, so thanks to yall that gave me advice to take it.
take care everybody
hugs
Crystal
You know, nasty bee that I am, when someone posts "Am I Normal", I wanna say, "Nope, you are definitely NOT normal! Something is BAD wrong with you!!!!" AND when someone says, "Has this ever happened to you?" I wanna say, "Nope, you must be really wierd or something!" But it ain't true! And I really wouldn't be that mean anyhows (except to Jim )!!!! Trust me on this, you are NOT gonna go thru anything that someone else on this board has not already been thru!
I'd say 2 to 3 pounds a week looks good! That'll add up to 100 to 150 lbs in a year and that's nothing to sneeze at! You go Girlie!!! It's good to see your shiney face, too. How you feel?

First of all NO you aint normal, you cant be normal to be my friend!haha
But your wt loss looks great , i dont realy think that there is a "normal" when it comes to Wls , we are all differant, (im finally realizing that myself).Just follow the rules , drink, drink , drink & the biggie for me anyway TRY to get in some kind of exercise , even if its just a walk. It very important to make a life long lifestyle change, if you want the sugery to work for good! Dont do like i did and waste those first few months by sitting on your tail , you will wish you had started sooner! As long as your Dr says its Ok , you need to move it to loose it! haha Oh and the good thing about exercise is if you realy do it right , you can eat a little more and not sweet it so much ! I think i said a few weeks ago that i would shut up about the exercise i can see some folks rolling there eyes at me !haha I cant shut up about it though , i love the way its makeing me feel!
HI Crystal, your weight loss AND worry are very normal. I would give you one bit if advice. HIDE THE SCALES! I know a lot of people tha****ch the scales and DRIVE THEMSELVES CRAZY. Especially if you were a comfort eater - look at the scales, get disappointed, be tempted to eat like the old you, get sick/frustrated/depressed - pretty common. Your weight loss will be pretty variable for the first 4-6 months. One month you may loose 8-10 pounds and the next loose 20. At one point, I think I was loosing a pound per day and then a pound a week. I had to stop watching and focus on what I was supposed to be doing - CHANGING MY LIFE. Get the Protein, start a HEALTY HABBIT EATING HABIT, exercise (the hardest for me. Obesity was always me reason NOT to exercise). Anyway, more advise than you may have wanted (and probably my longest post in history), but I would definately start by HIDING THE SCALES. psychodoc
Yes, you are definately normal!!!!! LOL!!!!! The doctor told me that slow steady weight loss is the best and I have just eaten well balanced meals and small amounts and the weight has come off. In fact I have been at 160 for about 2 months, and figured that I was there to stay, but hopped onto the scales and had lost again, so evidently I was "remodeling" inside. That is the funny part about this weight loss, it is like being a shape shifter. One day pants are too tight, next loose or falling off, then do not fit well in the same places! Bodies do strange things! Do not be impatient, it doesnt help, just following the food plan does, and drinking a lot of fluids to carry off the chemicals from your weight loss.
