approval letter

Hello everyone, I called my insurance company and was told that I am approved for lap rny surgery!!!! I can not express fully how happy I am. I actually cried when she told me. Then to put icing on the cake, Stephanie from my surgeon's office called and said that the approval letter had been faxed and I would be recieving a call from Melinda to schedule a surgery date. I have been on cloud 9, 10, and 11 all day long!!! A friend of mine at work and I are doing our surgeries together. We have been on numerous diets together. We both have been grinning like chess cats all day. We'll probably be like this until our surgery date. Keep us in your prayers. Can't wait to be on the losing side!

Sheri - I just noticed that you are from Hattiesburg. Are you going to attend the support meetings we have here every 3rd Monday of the month? Also, did you consider Dr. Whitehead when researching your surgery.

Thanks to all of you for your support. I work at Wesley, so Dr. Whitehead was not an option for me. I had to go to a Triad facility. Dr.Facundus is really good. He does a lot of bariatric surgeries. I will try and come to some of the meetings. When and where?

Dr. Whitehead is wonderful. I wish you could have used him but I can understand why you cant. The meetings are the 3rd Monday of every month at Pine Grove. It is at 6:30 and lasts about an hour. Sometimes we chit chat afterwards. They are very good meetings usually but the group is getting smaller and smaller. Alot of the older ones out have quit coming which I hate because I need direction from them. I am 17 months out today and at my goal. I made goal at 8 mos out so I am pleased. Again - Congrats!
