How long do I wait

Did most of you check with your insurance co to check status before you heard back from the doctors office? If so how long should I give it before I call. I don't want to bug anybody but I'm so curious

Hi, Jereni! I'm also still waiting on an approval from my insurance company. It's been exactly 16 days since they have received it. It took them 12 days to receive it after my appt. at CMMC. Then it took them 3 days more to log it into their computer. I started calling the insurance company a week after they received it and have been calling them every day since. I would probably feel bad about calling so much if I had to talk to the same person, but since there is a different person answering each time, I don't feel bad at all. They are still saying it is in review. As far as the doctor's office, you will probably get your letter from the insurance company before they get one. I'm just going to fax a copy of my letter over to them when I get mine, that way we can get the ball rolling that much faster. Good luck with everything and don't forget...You are the one paying the insurance company so don't be afraid to call them. Jackie

I think I waited about 2 weeks to start calling, but it probably was more like a week! LOL I was just like you....CURIOUS!!! Call them and see if they've received it, etc... It never hurts to follow up and make sure you don't fall through the cracks. Hang in there and keep us posted!!!! HUGS Kimberly

There was no wait for me, but I will tell you a little secret....It's times like this that God is teaching you patience....yeah, I know....He has tried and tried and tried real hard to teach me patience....I am working on getting Him to teach me to be rich!!! Smoochies ARlies
