Almost 2months post op
Hi everyone well its Missie. Monday will be 2 months since I have had my surgery. And I have never felt better. I love my new change. This is the best thing I have ever done besides getting married and having my two beautiful children. Just wanted to give everyone an update on things. Well first off the kids are out of school for the summer, I am out of school for the summer. On Wednesday the 24th I had my interview for the PTA program at Meridian Community College, so now I just have to wait the next few weeks to see if I got into the program. I am so happy that the interview went well. They only pic 14 students. I am not going to get my hopes up, I am leaving it all in the hands of GOD he has a plan for me, and I will find out what that plan is in a fwe weeks.
My weight has been dropping, I still havent got on a scale since my 2 week post-op checkup I have decided to let my dr Dr. Sherer do the weighing..I knwo that I am loseing becuase I have to buy a 16 now in jeans. Which is a great thing since I started out in 20-22W's and now I have to get a 16 at old navy. I dont go to walmart much to buy clothes seems like there things run smaller so its harder to shop. I have been eatting the 3 meals aday, however a friend of mine told me I need to really really still eat the 6 very small meals a day because the 3 is only making me feel more hungry throghout the day. I have been drinking lots of water, I no longer drink crystal light I got really tired of it. I may get some of the fruit punch and drink it but I got tired of cyrstal light really quick..I like my plan ole water. I found my favorite FIJI water at walmart that is what I have been drinking..LOVVVVVVVVVVE IT..
The only thing I have really noticed since my surgery is that I dont have an appetitae at all like i use to, not jst the amount of food but just food in general. I have to pretty much make my self eat during the day, there isnt NOTHING THAT i have the taste for. I could personally go on and just drink water or what during the day..but I know that I cant do that because its not good for me.I eat but I just get tired of not knowing what I want to eat. There is nothing out there that I have the taste for. The things I think I want when I get them I really dont want them. But its alright, i just eat anyways..to keep me from getting sick.
Well hubby has decided to get out of the Navy so now we are in the process of trying to find a place to rent since we wont be able to stay on base once he gets out. Well I just wanted to post and let everyone know that Im doing well. Just been really busy. Hope all is well with everyone..talk to yall soon.

Hi Missie,
My name is Dyan. I live near Meridian and I had my surgery on April 13th. So our anniversaries are close. I'm like you, no appetite. I have to make myself eat the protein and I never get enough water. Each day is new, so I just try harder. I don't know if Meridian has a support group. Maybe someone else from the area will post, if they do. Keep up the good work. Email me if you just want to talk. Send your phone number and I will call. There are several others on here from the Meridian area. Dyan
Missie,
Congrats on your surgery and doing so well! I have not had mine yet! I can not wait though! Good luck on finding a house here to rent....I bet you will find something nice! Are you guys planning on staying here in Meridian once he gets outta the Navy? We still have 5 years left! Have a great week!

Hi; My name is Stepanie and I am about 5 months post op and I believe there is a Meridian support group. I just don't know when they meet anymore. I will try and find out and post on line. Great job on the weight loss. I went through that when nothing tastes good. When i went back for my 3 month check up the suggested taking 50 mg of zinc and 250 of magnesium. It helped me greatly. Food started tasting good again. just something to think about. Good luck with finding a place to stay. Does your husband have a job here yet? Good luck with everything. I live in Marion and I have lost 75 lbs since Dec 27th. I have went from a 26 that was tight to a 20 that is loose. I haven't tryed an 18 on yet. I can wear the 18/20 strech capri from walmart but I don't know about a regular 18 yet. It won't be long though. I have went from a 30/32 shirt to a 22/24 that is a little big. I feel wonderful. I have to remember to chew my food though. If I don't I tend to throw up.
