OT- Where should we go?

DH will have next week off. So will the girls (Spring Break). We don't have much $$$ but thought a few days away would do us all good. We are thinking about spending atleast one night on the coast. DH wants to see how it looks since Katrina & I want to go to the Outlet Mall & see the memorial Extreme Makeover did. I told DH I have no idea if there's anything to do on the coast. So we will probably leave & go somewhere else for another 2 nights. Where should we go? He said maybe Mobile or back up North to Vicksburg or something. I always talk about wanting to go back to the Battlefield & museum. Anyway...I have no idea. thanks!

It is very hard to find rooms down here on the coast, so if you are planning to spend the night, I would suggest that you start looking for reservations right away. Your best bet would be a hotel in Gulfport near the outlet mall and all of the open restaurants on Hwy 49. You could always do a day trip to the coast and then drive over to Daphne/Mobile area and spend the night, then drive on down to Fort Walton/Pensacola area and enjoy the beautiful beaches with the kids.
