Update on Me

Just wanted to take the time to let you all know that I am still around and kicking. I am 17 months post op. I am down a total of 210. Gone forever!! I started out at 444, and as of this evening I am 234. 9 lbs to go until I am at my surgeon's goal. My weight loss stopped for about 3 months. I thought I was at that stopping point and ready for plastic surgery, but all of a sudden.. BOOM, got on the scales and have lost 6 lbs in 2 days. I go in same day surgery in the AM. I am having a series of epidural injections in my neck for a buldging disks that has been causing me severe pain. The Dr just finished a 3 month series of epidural injections in my lower back for 4 buldging disks the last of Dec. I asked the Dr what the heck is up with this. When I was 444, they told me that I had degenative arthritis and 1 buldging disc in lower back. Now lose over 200 lbs and now I hurt like heck. (men dont read any further) Along with all that pain, I've had my cycles messed up big time. Pain, Clots, Excessive Bleeding. On the cycle 7 days, off 5-7 days and back on another full cycle. GYN tried several different things. Now I am on Pro-Vera 2 wks out of the month to see if that helps. He is scared to take the uterus out cause of all the scare tissue from 3 C sections, and RNY. He said I am high risk. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo, he decides to order me a pelvic sonogram, they had to do it internal......hurt from day one after that, went to ER after a wk of hurting and found I had a bacterial infection from the probe. They put me on anti-biotcs and told me to go see my GYN. I did, was still hurting, so he examined me (again)... The ole Bladder is hanging low since I lost all this weight....And I am having bladder spasms....so more med. I go back in 3 wks to see if the med is working. Ok That's all that on me, (I think) Hubby is doing ok, even tho he was admitted on Christmas monrning for pneumonia. Other than that he is doing good. I haven't forgotten about you guys and gals, just had so much going on..and plus we moved the first part of Jan. We are buying our own place. My OWN HOME!!!!!! We have a Mobile Home on a 3 acres..in the country. I love it out here. But it sure is alot of grass to cut with a push mower. I mow for about an hr or so then I have to give the mower a break. Its the mower that I am giving a break(really) cause it's a cheap $99 mower from walmart and this grass is hay right now, so you can imagine how hard it is to cut, but I am slowly getting there. Jo I am so glad you have posted and things are doing good for you in most ways. I have wondered about you and hadnt heard from you in a long time. Keep in touch more often we miss talking with you. Hope to hear from you soon. Barry
