Hey Girl, Have you tryed unjury? or matrix? They are both pretty good , they are expensive though i would try to see if you can order samples and try differant ones and maybe you will fine one that you like! I like th zero Isopure its premixed and taste like a gatoraide ( it does af a bit of a after taste ) one bottle has 45gs of protein, so i mix a little in with my crystal light and drink it threw out the day, i cant taste the after taste if i mix it with something else. You can get it a GNC I get it at the vitaman warehouse here in Biloxi i buy it buy the case! Im out of it now and have been for a while I will be going to get me some tomorrow! My hair fell out for a few months , but now its back to normal! DAWN

Your hair is going to fall out, that is to be expected, not just from the protein but from the shock of the trauma from surgery. Of course, the more protein that you take in, the less it will fall out, so I have been told. I have never been able to reach my protein levels constantly, I gag on all protein drinks so I have to try and eat my protein. I started using ION brand shampoo and moisturizer on my hair and it helped with putting protein back into my hair and helped it regrow. However, my hair started falling out at about 4 months post op and did not stop until about month 10. I wish you the best of luck with this problem. I have not met very many people that it did not happen to though. Rhonda

Hi Crystal, I am so sorry that your hair is falling out, but girlfriend this is part of the consequences of having the surgery. My hair started falling about 4 months and I'm 17 months post-op and it's still coming out. But I am starting to see some new hair growth. I did the Biotin, Protein, all sort of over the counter pills for hair loss......did it help? my opinion? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. But I am down from 444 to 235 in 17 months and I would much rather be at this weight (first time since I was 16 yrs old) and Im 43 now, then to have my hair. I can always buy a wig.. Heck girl, I have fake teeth, when not fake hair, lol It's going to go with age anyway. LoL Just think about why you had the surgery, it was for your health, not looks, right? Take Care, Jo

Crystal FIRST dont panic. I lost alot of hair starting at about 4 months I am at 7 months out I am not losing much hair now. My hair is long so some falls out but not in the hand fulls that it was. I use Nioxin Shampoo and scalp therapy daily. I take 1500mcg of Biotin and 1 50mg zinc once a day. I drink UNJURY whey protein I really like it. Dawn turned me on to it. She drinks it and said it was good and she was right. The Chocolate is my fave. I have 4 canisters sitting on my counter. I have never had any trouble with the company. Francine is great! She always has my shipment in the mail within 4 days and will send a sample pack if you ask her till you find a flavor you like. I did unflavored...boring vanilla... ok strawberry..not a big fan but Chocolate is great not to sweet and fills you up so drink it slow! Hope this helps hang in there you might think you are going bald but you wont. If you get a chance visit this website is has lots of info just like OH!http://www.livingafterwls.com/. Hang in there the hair loss will taper off. Amy
