UPDATE ON JOYCE!

Myrna (Joyce's Mom) just called me and they'd been to the 6 oclock visiting. Joyce's vitals are good. BP is very good. Her urine was a bit cloudy this am, so they sent a sample to the lab. She is still a bit whiney and in pain, and is chomping at the bits to get into a room. I think she is ready to start visiting!!! Things are looking good, but ya'll keep praying because the dreaded swallow test comes today! Smoochies Arlies

Amen on that. I hope that she has a good test, that stuff made me sick as a dog and I had three of them before the doctor released me! Last one, I pooped and vomited all over the xray room, myself and the technician. I have never felt so sick in my life!!!!!

I'm new to this. Just starting to get to know terms. What's the leak or swallow test? I hope that Joyce is doing good. I work at UMC. Do you think she would mind if I go see her when she gets to a room?

Glenda, A leak test is like a barium swallow that they do to make sure that there are no leaks in the pouchwhere they attached it. You have to fight the urge to Cheryl I'm so sorry that you had to go through it 3 times. tomanip
