UPDATE ON JOYCE!!!!

At the 5 pm visitation in the ICU we went in two by two and got to see our Baby Girl, Joyce! She was in PAIN, but looked really good! They were afraid they would have some trouble putting her to sleep (she's on a bi-pap) so they tubed her while she was awake! But she did fine! She looks good, but is a bit dopey and whiney - as to be expected! Her color is great! She is on oxygen and will hopefully be moved to a room tomorrow. I came home cause you can't stay in ICU with them and she has a nurse she shares with one other patient and Myrna and John (her Mom & Dad) are staying in the ICU waiting room tonight. They will see her again at 9 pm and tomorrow at 6 am. Myrna will call me after the 6 am visit and I will report in. I will prolly go back tomorrow, but I am needing a doc's appt so I need to see about that first.... THANK YOU GOD!!! ALL IS WELL!!!! And this Southern Baptist Queen spent the day with the "Phildelphia Branch of the Pentacostals"!!! And they were terrific!!! Even tho we were all worried, we had a blast!! Smoochies Arlies BTW Joyce is not my child, but I love her just the same!

Hi Arlies! I tried to call you back this morning, but evidently your cell # is long distance from my office and it would not let me dial it without dialing a 1 or 0 first. I am so sorry I did not get back to you! I hate that Joyce is in ICU but at least she is doing good and the surgery went well! I will not try to meet you tomorrow at the hospital since you said you have to get a Dr. appointment. I have had another let down yesterday and things are just not good emotionally for me, I have cried all day today and just could not possibly make it to the hopsital this afternoon. My poor boss was trying to get me to go home because I just was crying (not sobbing, just tears rolling) all day today. I decided it would be best not to meet you at the hospital today, I just wanted to go home and crawl in bed. Maybe we can meet up this weekend sometime if you have time. I am glad to hear that Joyce is doing ok, tell her not to whine, to just suck it up, as things get better and better but I know that all of us go thru a grieving stage! I did!!!! You are better than any angel I know!!! Love, Cheryl

I am so glad her surgery went well. She waited a long time and went through bunches of hoops to have this done. I will keep her in my prayers for a quick recovery and a smooth sailing journey ahead. Thanks for the update. Melissa
