HELP I am searching for a dr in Mississippi for Fills

Hi I am having Lap Band Surgery in Tijuana on Mar 14,06 and am trying to have a surgeon here found to do the fills for me and I understand this may be difficult..Any suggestions?

Hi Angel! My surgeon that I have chosen doesn't do lap bands. But you are right when you say finding a surgeon may be difficult. The surgeons around here frown upon patients that go out of country to have their procedures done and most will decline you. You may have more success by asking the crew on the lap band forum here on OH. I am just starting the ball rolling with my surgery. It looks like I will be moving out of state soon and the surgeons in TX would prefer I switch to their program to have surgery. My problem is I love my surgeon and the staff and I don't know what to do. I wish you all the luck and I hope everything works out for you. Leslie

Smoochies ARlies PS you might try the lap band forum....Most of us have had RNY.....and click on finding a surgeon too, cause it will tell the different types of surgery they do...

I know that Dr Avara in Ocean Springs does the lap band, but i dont know if he will do fills on other Drs patients. I would call and check. Good luck finding a dr. Might want to try Mobile also , there is a group over there that was willing to see me after Katrina when Keesler was down, I have Rny so I didnt need fills. tough one! DAWN

thanks to all *****plied and tried to help, I finally found a doctor in Covington,LA that will do the fills for me..My only concern is he doesnt use the flouroscopy that alot of dr's recommend so that you get a proper fill but I will keep searching..thanks again and I cant wait til Mar 14 so I can start looking great like all of you...
