OT- Couponing/ Rebates anyone?

Oh yeah, I try to keep laundry detergent in stock. I have to use perfume free cause my 3yr old has severe eczema. I was using ALL & getting it for about $2.99 on sale w/ coupons, but discovered a cheaper brand at Krogers that carried the "Free & Clear" for $2.19. Now I buy it unless I have coupons for Arm & Hammer. The last I bought was A & H for $1.99 a jug. Cheryl, you have lots of good ideas. I've been wanting a deep freeze. Hopefully we'll get one before Summer. Our freezer in the fridge is too small.

When we were stationed in Minot, ND, I did ALOT of couponing and some rebating! Jon, my 21 year old, said he always felt safe and ready for the winter when Momma went to the grocery store downtown and came back with about 20 boxes of Quaker Instant Oatmeal - and I'd be getting it for about ten cents a box! I LOVED doing the coupons...My personal best was that I once got about $170 worth of groceries for $1.96....Yep, less than 2 bucks!!!! And the store I did this at was thrilled!!!! I just don't see the sales down here like they had there and have not gotten that into it since. I would LOVE to tho....I also stocked up on Leonardo's Mac & Cheese (which is hard to find down here) every year for ten cents a box. Leonardo's was made nearby where we lived and it is the BEST mac and cheese in the world! Kraft ain't got nuthin' on them....Made from North Dakota wheat. I do check the sales papers every week here, but most of the stuff that I get from them is meats or fruits on sale or milk and you just can hardly find coupons for that stuff!
