I think most everyone has a problem with hair loss. Mine lasted from about month four until month 9 or so. I ended up getting all mine cut off real short to deal with it. Just eat as much protein as you can, that will help, but you will still have some hair loss. It is a shock to your system to have surgery of any kind, but this surgery is so extensive.. Best of luck. I started losing hair at month 4 and it now is better at Month 7. I know that you must take calcium, it helps slow the hair loss. Mine became so thin that I cut it off and dyed it a darker color to hide how thin it has become. Lately, it seems to be better. My blood tests indicated that I was normal in all levels, but I guess the shock of surgery and rapid weight loss makes the body think it is starving!

Ok thanks, yeah well i normally keep mine short, however the color right now im in between my normal black and my lighter color..i have been debating on if i want to color again..but i may go ahed and tell my hair dresser to do it a chocolate brown color that way i can get use to it by the time i have my surgery. thanks for the advice. how are u feeling since you had your surgery. missie

The majority of the time I feel great! Sometimes, I still have a little stomach uneasyness, especially in the mornings when I have to take meds which I do after eating breakfast. I try to eat healthy, and three meals and two snacks a day. Just after surgery, when I didnt feel well, I would just go to bed and try to sleep, since sleep is one of the best ways to heal. You need to order Protein for your shakes. You can try different ones like Unjury or Isopure zero carb, you can order from Susan Maria, she has packets which are from different companies. You will have to rely on the shakes for a while then go onto foods, they will help you get the protein you need and some taste really good, like a thick milkshake. Your nutritionist can recommend things for you, and you might want to order Susan Maria's book, it helped me thru the process quite a lot, she has wonderful ideas and recipes in her book!
