Im new around here

Hey Missie, Welcome to the board! Do you have Tricare? They might have a list of Drs that they are appoved for , you might want to give them a call that could narrow your choices. I'm just assumeing that you have Tricare since you are milatary. Don't realy know how they handle everything if you aren't near a milatary hospital. I'm milatry too, i used keesler here in Biloxi, had a GREAT dr, but there baratric program is on hold right now, but i do hear that they should be back up and doing surgeries soon. Dawn, Hey yeah we are military he is Navy. Yes mamma we have tricare prime. Well my doctore well primary care manager told me that he was going to write in the referral and once I get the referral i can sit down and contact each of them and make an appointment and see which one i want to use. I do not have to use any thats on their list, if i want i can find one that doe sit as long as its in a tricare region in any state or country. Just i have to make sure that if i decided to use my own let tricare know. thanks for the welcome. Talk to you soon. Keep up the great work. missie

Hey MIssie!!! Welcome to the family! I am a USAF retiree's wife...and the best advice I can give you is to have your surgery at Keesler!!! They will reopen for surgery, prolly in October. If you need some numbers lemme know. Those Docs are great! I will be in Meridian today at 1 pm at the China Buffett when the old Shoney's was - by Barnhills....Come join us if you can....You'll recognize me...I am loud, rowdy, and I hung and kiss ALL the men!!! And I drive a 2005 black F-150 pickup...and depending on the weather it may or may not have a hoverround electric wheelchair in the back named Christine! Welcome home! smoochies Arlies

Hey Christine I wish I would have got your invite earlier I was running sooooooooo late for class this morning I didnt have a chance to do anything. I would love to met you the next time that your in town. Yeah your teh secong or third person that has told me to do it at Keesler..however they do not do it at the military hospital do they? See Oct will be too late because we aer due to leave Meridian between may and august to go to sigonella for three years my husabnd has orders to go there. So thats why I was trying to find somewhere to do it before we leave. Also I am still waiting on the approvel letter from Tricare. I jsut went to the dr. on Tuesday but he said that he is goign to start it right then. So its just a waiting game now and I hate them. Well hope to talk to you and met you soon. thanks girl Missie

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I am ARLIES and my hoverround scooter is named Christine!!! Yep, mine was done at the hospital at Keesler....And you may be able to be medivaced to Lonstuhl (I forget how to spell it!) in Germany for this surgery. I guess the hospital there is still open.... I will let you know the next time I am in Meridian. Hey girl oh ok sorry i thought you were Christine. Thats cute tha tyou named your hovverround scooter..lol So you did your surgery in Keelser. See we wont bee here in Oct. if that is when it will open again. we are scheduled to leave here and transfer to sigonella, sicily in july-aug so i am wanting it done before we leave. I have heard of a really great dr. in baton rouge and I heard of a really great dr in oxford that does it at the baptist hospital. I guess I will just wait till I get the letter from Tricare before I start looking for a dr. Yeah let me know the next time your in meridian. Thanks girl Missie
