Sickness & Death

Just poppin in to say Hey & give an update on myself. I haven't been on the computer for several days. I just haven't felt like doing anything. For over a week now I have been so sick to my stomach that I haven't felt like eating anything. I may have ate about 1/4 c. this whole time. I am making myself drink though. Johnny would fix me something to eat thinking I'd eat it. Well, one sniff & back to the kitchen it went. Yucky !!! And the thing is.... I am hungry. Plus he brought me chili & I love chili. This is like having morning sickness that never ends with a little pain mixed in. The pain was just every once in a while, until my doc pressed around wanting to know exactly where it was. Now it is really sore. Yesterday at my doc's they did blood work & X-ray's. Thankfully the xrays didn't show any problems. He was worried that in intestines may have been twisted. The blood work showed that my liver enzimes are really high. Which could be an indicator of gallbladder problems. So, I go Thur. morning for an ultra sound. If it is my gallbladder, I hope to get this nasty sucker out asap !!! This has not been any fun at all except for when the nurse came in a gave me a shot of Phenergan & we went to the pharmacy & got my RX's for Demerol & Phenergan filled. Did you know that you can now get Phenergan in a rub on gel ? You sure can !!! Your pharmacy has to be able to compound, but you can get it. And let me say, it is way better than having something stuck up your tail or trying to swallow a pill with a sick stomach. Now for the death part...... My Aunt Kate died Sunday around 6:30pm from cancer. Her & my Uncle Sonny lived in Philadelphia. Now he is so lost he doesn't know what to do. I probably won't make it to the funneral home or any of it. The meds I'm on keep me sleepy, dizzy & drunk like. Not that I am complaining. The drugs are great. But, I sure don't want to fall into a grave just yet either. At least I did make it to the hospital Sunday afternoon. I sure will miss that Sweet Lady. Thank you for all the prayers. Please keep them coming. Tammy

I am terribly sorry to hear about your aunt. That is devestating. I am very very sorry. I hope you get to feeling better very very soon. If it is your gall bladder they can get it out and you can be pain free.

The phenergan cream is good and can be gotten at a compound place near Big Bucks in Hattiesburg. We have it because of Jeremy's headaches. Well anyway so sorry to hear of your illness and death also of your aunt. I have no gall bladder. Having my 1st baby helped that issue. A lot of women have that surgery sometime after delivering. I did 9 months after Jeremy was born. Hope you get better SOON. Love and prayers Jane

I already let folks know about your gallbladder and I am so sorry about Aunt Kate (I have one of those too, but she's married to Uncle George). I will be so glad when you are feeling better. I re-mailed your card today....I just x-ed out the front side, turned it over and on the back re-addressed it and re-stamped it...Now, let's just see if it gets there this time! Feel better, sweetie! Tammy, I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I am sure that she will be missed for a long time... Hope that your Uncle will be ok, it is so terrible to lose a part of yourself. Gallbladders are evil little creatures who give you terrible tummy aches and make you feel bad all the time. I blamed all the kids at school for about a year for giving me stomach viruses all the time plus I thought that the school lunch had some problems too, guess what, it was the evil little gall bladder. The day after Don and I got married, I had a massive attack, and a week later lap surgery to remove the little beast. Now I feel fine, and since you have already had WLS and do not eat oily things anymore, you should feel great after having it out. It is almost instant relief, and probably the reason you have been so sick all along. I cannot imagine why they did not remove it during your surgery, most of the time they do as a matter of routine, since they are already in and it is exposed! Feel better soon, and I envy you that you can eat Chili! I cannot eat it since surgery, kills me every time I try! Cheryl

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling bad again, maybe they will find out on Thursday what the problem is and be able to take care of it soon. I have heard nightmares about the evil gallbladder, I am afraid that mine is starting to act up as well. I am not sure though. Where is your pain at? I hope you feel better soon. Sorry for the loss of your dear aunt also. I hope that your Uncle can find peace and remember all the good times he shared with her. Love, Rhonda

I really hope you get to feeling better---and be sure you're getting some sort of fluid in anyway...dehydration will also make the nausea worse. it's a horrible cycle... My prayers are with you for the loss in your family. Death is hard to deal with--expected or unexpected. *hugs* mary
