Keesler

Hi everyone, I am so glad to see everyone's progress. I have not been here in a while, and have a few questions. I was/am a pt at keesler. I was to have my surgery in August, but did not because I had to get things ready to take off of work, so I planned to have it in sept or oct. then (katrina hit) my dad got sick and I moved to PA for awhile. Anyhow, now I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not keesler is going to do this surgery still. If not, what are they doing - sending people out to find a civilian doc? I am still up in PA, and am wondering if I should just look into it up here. Thanks for any help. Connie

Keesler is supposed restart doing surgery again, hopefully, in October. Right now they are only seeing patients they have had the surgery. I saw Dr. Jenkins on Tuesday. The plan is to get Keesler up and running big as ever. So cross your fingers!!! The number is 228-377-6516 for appointments. Good luck and let us hear what happens! Smoochies Arlies

The hospital should be as good as new by summer time, at least that is what I heard. You should call the clinic and ask when they plan to resume surgeries. Let us know when you get back in town, so we can let you know when our next support group will be. Best of Luck! Rhonda 240/117
